LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An arrest report says a woman admitted that she left her two children in a car while she went into a store to shoplift.

Around 3:15 p.m. June 15, Metro police were called to the Walmart on Raggard Road in Pleasure Ridge Park about two children that had been left along in a car. After getting to the store the officer was told the children had been taken inside the store and their mother was being held for shoplifting.

Store security officers say Amber Stepp, 26, was seen concealing items before her arrest. When she was searched, police found a meth pipe and two spoons in Stepp's purse.

Stepp has been charged with wanton endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting.
