LARC members wash cars for a good cause

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Some cars are now a little cleaner thanks to members of a Lowndes County organization...and it's all for a good cause.

Members of the Lowndes Advocacy Resource Center washed cars Friday to help raise money so they could go on a trip. The center helps teach basic job skills to adults with special needs so that they can get a job on their own.

The group's coordinator said last year's car washed went great...so he decided to do it again. "It turned out real good, so I decided 'let's try to have another car wash this year'," said Todd Howard, member of LARC and organizer of the car wash. "I'd like to take everybody to a Braves game, because some of them probably never been to the Braves game before."

First though, the group is planning to use the money to go to Wild Adventures later this Summer.
