Woman says she was attacked by wanted man

(APD) (APD)
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A retired woman tells WALB News 10 that a man who has been wanted on felony charges for over a week, attacked her in her home.

Frances Roberts, who lives on Red Oak Lane, near Phoebe North, told WALB News 10 that she is certain that John Dabney is the man who attacked her in her home Thursday.

She said she got away from him, and went to stay with relatives.

Police have been looking for Dabney in connection with an armed robbery of a convenience store in East Albany. Investigators say he fired several shots into the Stop and Shop convenience store.

Police say if you see Dabney, do not confront him, but call 911 and give dispatchers the location. Or call CrimeSTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
