TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A brush fire burned four structures, including a home in the town of Oracle, and led to the evacuation of dozens of residents.

Those residents who are displaced will remain out of their homes for the time being. Crews are checking for hotspots. During a briefing this morning, fire crews said the cause was accidental, but is still under investigation.

Golder Ranch battalion chief Will Seely said the fire was just under four acres, and was fueled by the wind.

The call came in just after 4 PM from an area near John Adams Road and Mount Lemmon Highway in Oracle.  

At least seven fire agencies responded, and about forty firefighters worked in triple digit temperatures to battle the flames.

At one point things got very tense.

"There were reports of firefighters trapped, vehicles blocking them as the fire kicked up," said Seely.

Some of the firefighters were volunteer firefighters and were not in wildland gear, so things got really hot in the structure gear they had on," at least one firefighter had to be evaluated for heat exhaustion.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said an arson team was headed to the area to help determine the cause of the fire.

The area affected by the fire is near Paseo Encino and Cody Loop Road, south of East American Avenue.

No injuries have been reported.
