Sylvester police arrest wanted man

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Cagney Jermaine Frier, 29, of Sylvester, was arrested after he got away from police when they first tried to incarcerate him.

Frier was wanted for battery, interference with 911, cruelty to children, and other charges. that took place Sunday morning on Hamilton circle.

Later that same day, police charged him with obscene communication fighting words, giving a false name to an officer, obstruction of officers, and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

On Monday was spotted by police as he was riding a red pickup truck. when officers attempted to pull the truck over with blue lights and siren, Frier ran away on foot.

Officers chased after him from Seabrook drive to U.S. highway 82 east to Kings Way Apartments, and arrested him. He is in the Worth County jail.
