ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Termites can do a lot of damage in a short amount of time. This time of year termites start to awaken, reproduce, and then start munching costing thousands in repairs.

Adams Exterminators says now is the time for a home or business inspection. Prevention will save you a bundle later.

Southwest Georgia is one of the worst areas in America for termites especially during the summer.

"We have a very high temperature as everyone knows as well as high humidity which is a perfect combination for termite activity," said Stuart Sinyard of Adams Exterminators.

Exterminators use chemical or traps and also provide organic or green bug protection.
