ALBANY, GA - (WALB) -

Albany Firefighters are investigating a suspected arson fire at a boarded up duplex building Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the 600 block of North Jackson Avenue twice within an hour.
Just after noon they put out a small grass fire between the duplex and the alley.
At 1:15 they put out a fire they believe was deliberately set under the carport.

Battalion Chief Matthew Jefferson said "This time they came back and set a couch on fire up under the carport area.  And it got into the attic."

Firefighters went into the attic to put out the fire, and arson investigators are working to determine who set the fire.
