(WMC) - Angela Brower's boyfriend is in Covington in jail facing assault charges. She has now taken her case to social media in hopes of raising awareness of what has happened to her, and so many others.

When Brower and Walter Bradley met, she says it was love at first sight.

"He was the perfect gentleman. He got me," said Brower.

But after they started dating, Brower said things quickly changed.

"Put my face through a wall ... choked me until I was almost unconscious," she continued.

Brower says from March until May, Walter Bradley abused her three times. After each incident, Brower took pictures showing her injuries.

She posted those pictures to Facebook for the world to see.

"I told him that when he backhanded me, I said, 'If you put your hands on me again, I will expose you,'" recounted Brower. "I will let everyone know what kind of person you are. I will expose you."

Brower says after the first round of abuse, she should have ended the relationship. Instead, she accepted Bradley's apology and took him back.

"When the monster comes out, you need to go," she added.

Brower said she suffered a broken facial bone, broken nose and many bruises as a result of her now ex-boyfriend, who is now sitting in the Tipton County jail awaiting trial.

Meanwhile, Brower is showing others what happened to her to try and help those going through the same thing.

"My heart still wants him, but my mind and body can't have him and that's a lot of the reason women go back. There are so many people, women and men, that want help. I just keep talking to them and telling them that I'm gonna give you the strength and backbone to get away," said Brower.

Bradley has not had a chance to make a plea in this case. District Attorney Mike Dunavant says his case could be bound over to the grand jury this Friday.

Angela Brower is working with friends to establish a stand alone center for domestic abuse in Tipton County. She has also established a domestic violence group online and has a gofundme.com campaign.
