ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The family of one of two people killed in a weekend crash in Dougherty County is still working on funeral plans and speaking out about their grief.

They say Melissa Burger was a good person who could always make you laugh.

It's been a tough few days for the family of Melissa Burger. Right now they're surrounded by friends and family trying to cope with her loss. "I just miss her."

Rachel Holloway is doing her best trying to cope with the lost of her daughter Melissa Burger.

Burger was planning to go swimming Saturday after going to a garage sale with her boyfriend Bobby Phillips, who is still hospitalized at Phoebe Putney Memorial hospital.

She was a passenger inside this SUV that was hit by another pickup at the intersection of Nelms Road and Stagecoach Rd. Burger died at the scene.

"She was a good person, very outgoing, yes, she was very outgoing, she would help people, she would do anything for anybody."

Burger's twin sister Bee Comer says they were close. Born just one minute apart.

"She was my sister so she's my angel now. And I deeply do miss her, and I love you sister, and you are in a better place."

Police say the driver of the pickup truck was speeding and ran a stop sign crashing into the SUV that burger was in. " To mess up their vehicle like that... I've never seen a vehicle like that in my whole entire life."

The driver of the pick-up, Scott Dent, also died. The family says they're in the process of making funeral plans and plan to hold a memorial for Burger.

Tonight Phillips remains in condition at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The family tells us he has several broken ribs and shattered teeth.
