Albany announces fireworks

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

 The City of Albany's 2014 Independence Day Fireworks Celebration will be held on Friday, July 4, at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds. 

Gates will open at 3:00 pm with activities for kids, live music all day, and plenty of food vendors on hand.   The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 pm. 

Admission is $2 per person or $5per car (up to 6 people; additional people $2 per person).  Buses are not included in the car price.  All military are free with ID. 

No backpacks, bags, coolers, weapons, pets, or personal fireworks are allowed on the premises.  All participants will go through security screening before entering the fairgrounds gates.
