SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Chesnee man is accused of threatening a woman and her son, saying he would shoot up their home after he hit the woman with his truck, according to deputies.

Spartanburg County deputies were called to the woman's home on Sunday and arrived to find her eye swollen with bruises and scratches on her arms and legs.

Deputies said the suspect, 29-year-old Trey Brown, pulled up to the home yelling for the woman's son to come with him but she told Brown to leave. Brown backed his Jeep down the driveway, but did not leave, deputies said.

When the victim walked to his car to tell him to leave again or she would call police, Brown drove forward, hitting her, then drove away, according to the deputy's report. Brown then sent text messages to the woman, saying he would come back and shoot the house up, deputies said.

According to the report, Brown had tried to talk to or date the woman but she said she would have nothing to do with him.

Brown was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery, first-degree harassment and trespass after warning.
