Skeletal remains discovered in wooded area


The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office is awaiting information from an autopsy after hunters discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area Sunday. 

Sheriff's deputies along with SLED Crime Scene responded to a wooded area on Tearcoat Road in the Alcolu area of Clarendon County after the hunters called 911.

The sheriff's office said the remains will be sent to the Medical University of South Carolina for autopsy this week.
