WALB named Ga. Television Station of the Year

Jim Wilcox, Ben Roberts, Dontae Lee, Dawn Hobby, Jake Wallace, Wesley Bower, Jim Bernhardt Jim Wilcox, Ben Roberts, Dontae Lee, Dawn Hobby, Jake Wallace, Wesley Bower, Jim Bernhardt

The Ga. Association of Broadcasters named WALB "Television Station of the Year" Friday night.

The station picked up that award, three other GABBY's and a Merit Award at a banquet at Ga. Public Broadcasting in Atlanta.

News Anchor Ben Roberts and Photographer Dontae Lee received a GABBY for Best News Story for  Disaster City.

Lee also earned a GABBY as Best Photographer/Videographer.

WALB News 10 Sports Director Jake Wallace received the GABBY for Best Sports Reporter.

Marketing Producer Wesley Bower received a Merit Award for Best Promotional Spot 

WALB competes with television stations in Albany, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Savannah.
