CRISP COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Crisp County law enforcers are looking for burglars who broke into the Crisp Regional Medical Office Building last month.

The burglars took some cash, prescription pads, and about $100 worth of checks. The break-in happened on May 22nd sometime before 3:00 a.m.  A house keeper notified deputies and said five offices were burglarized.

"We've alerted the local pharmacies to be on the lookout for the prescription pads of course with the checks already being made out to the doctor's office we notified the banks, which it's going to be hard for somebody else to cash or use those," said Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock.

Sheriff Hancock says they don't think any medical records were stolen. Since the break-in, they've  increased security. The GBI is assisting with the investigation.
