Tift students learn robotics at STEM camp

Students in Tift County learned about robotics this week.

32 high school students were at the Tifton campus of Moultrie Tech participating in a week long stem camp.

Students demonstrated the new Baxter robot. Tift County High is the first school in the world to use this robot as a teaching tool.

Several other hands on robotics demonstrations were there to encourage students to pursue engineering careers.

"I really like hands on stuff, building robots. I was always interested in it and it just got me into it," student.

Students were also able to design and build their own robots.
