Prine said that 12 marijuana plants, approximately 229 grams of harvested marijuana, packaging materials, and a .380 caliber handgun were recovered.

The marijuana grow operation was dismantled and the plants, loose marijuana and other items were seized and removed from the home.

The resident, Lorne Carter, 48, was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. He appeared in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court on Wednesday and a $50,000 bond was set, but he remains in jail.
