AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Myeishia Biggins of Americus, a member of the South Georgia Technical College Law Enforcement Academy 14 – 01 class, was presented with the Lou Crouch Law Enforcement Scholarship at South Georgia Technical College's Law Enforcement Academy graduation service recently where she earned her Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.

"I am honored to be selected as the Lou Crouch Law Enforcement Scholarship recipient," said Myeishia Biggins.  "It will be my honor to serve others through a Law Enforcement career.  It was a struggle to get into the academy, but by the grace of God I did and I look forward to being able to repay those who helped me reach this goal."

Lou Crouch of Centerville endowed this new scholarship in January 2013 to assist students who enrolled in the South Georgia Technical College Law Enforcement Academy.

For more information about making a donation or establishing an endowed scholarship at South Georgia Technical College contact Su Ann Bird, SGTC Foundation Executive Director at 229.931.2110 or  sbird@southgatech.edu .
