Entering autos on the rise in Tifton

Tifton police are investigating a rash of car break-ins.

Since May 25th, they've gotten 15 entering auto reports throughout the city.

Most of the cars were unlocked though some windows were broken in cars where valuables were left in plain view.

"We've had some at daycare centers where people are dropping off children, we've had some in downtown where people park to go in and shop, we had some in convenience stores," said Lt. Dunston.

Police remind you to lock your car doors at all times and never leave valuable items inside.
