Posted: Updated:

Information from the GBI-

Brandon Scott Vinavong, 18, of Sylvester, was arrested Thursday for the murder of Bobby Anglon, who was killed last August.

Anglon, 66, was killed at his residence at 8894 Morey Hill Road in Mitchell County on August 23, 2013. Anglon received multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Vinavong was charged with murder, armed robbery, burglary, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.  He was arrested without incident this morning by the Worth County sheriff's office at 11 am, at 450 Youngblood Road, Sylvester.

"We were able to place the gun that killed Mr. Anglon with Mr. Vinavong, as well as other testimony we were able to put together to have enough probable cause to make an arrest,"   said Steven Turner of the GBI.

Investigators are still looking for a safe they believe was stolen during Anglon's murder.

Anglon's death was investigated by the Thomasville office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation; the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office; and the Worth County Sheriff's Office.

If you've got information, you're asked to call the GBI Thomasville office at 225-4090. Vinavong is in the Mitchell County Jail.

The investigation into Anglon's murder is still on-going, and more arrests are expected.
