DAWSON, GA (WALB) -

Terrell County commissioners are meeting to discuss a special audit of Tax Commissioner's Office.

This comes after the audit concluded that accounting issues within the office are on-going, however, no tax money is unaccounted for.

The County Commission is sending this audit to the Governor Nathan Deal's office for review at the state level.

County commissioners reported Last year that tax commissioner Peggy Pritchard to the Governor for failing to transfer all revenue twice a month, as required by law.

They requested an audit which was completed May 27th, and said that poor accounting practices and undeposited checks are occurring.
