CUTHBERT, GA (WALB) -

A man accused of crashing into an historic statue in Cuthbert over the weekend is out of jail tonight.

Police say 52-year-old Endrea Session was speeding on highway 27 when he jumped the curb and crashed into the Confederate Memorial.

Cuthbert Police say he caused at least 20-thousand dollars in damage around the monument. Not including the statue itself.

Session is charged with striking a fixed object, damaging government property, and failing to yield.

He bonded out of jail on Monday morning.
