ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man died Sunday after his pickup truck hit a large mailbox at 2604 Brittany Road and then hit a large tree in a yard across the street.

Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler says 38-year old Bo Wester had to be cut out of his truck by firefighters.

Police say Wester died from his injuries Sunday evening.

Bo Wester is the son of the late Cleve Wester who was a prominent Albany businessman and star football player at Auburn University.

Albany Police say their Traffic Unit is still investigating this accident.
