Families enjoy day at "Pigs in the Park Music Festival"

Several families enjoyed some summer fun and helped raise money for the Georgia Narcotics Officers Association.

They came out for the second annual Pigs in the Park Music Festival. There were lots of games, music, and a BBQ competition. Fans also got take pictures of Honey Boo Boo and her family. $1500 will benefit the Sheriff Donnie Haralson Scholarship fund.  

"He was such a great law enforcement person," said Wesley Nunn with the Georgia Narcotics Officers Association. "Someone we could call and ask questions about and his legacy will never die down here. He's such a wonderful law enforcement officer that we loss it was terrible."    

There is a $5 entry fee. The festival wraps up at 11:00 p.m.

    Aspire Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability provided an on-site clinic inside the American Red Cross Shelter located inside the Albany Civic Center to help those experiencing mental health issues. The group wants residents know that they're still available to help those in need.
