VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta State University is getting ready to make it's University Center more user-friendly for students.

VSU will get $1.9 million dollars in the state's 2015 budget, which takes effect July 1st, to bring many of the student services under one roof. Academic advising, the Student Success Center, and the Career Opportunities Office among other services will now all be located in the University Center and will be easier for students to access.

"To continue with our Complete College Georgia efforts to increase the number of graduates in Georgia through Valdosta State University, this allows us to support that effort by connecting students to the services they need in order to be successful," explained Alicia Robertson, director of centralized advising at VSU.

There is no timeline yet for when the renovations will be completed. Planning for the renovations will begin as soon as the 2015 budget goes into effect.
