ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The grills will be hot this Memorial Day Weekend, and many of you may want to spice things up with some South Georgia Barbeque sauce.

Mrs. Griffin's BBQ sauce has a long history in South Georgia that goes back 80 years. It's one of the oldest sauces in the state, and the third oldest in the country. The owner says its combined ingredients of mustard, vinegar and tomato paste is what makes it popular.

"We're excited about Memorial Day coming up. We know a lot of people are going to be barbecuing and we just hope that they'll choose Mrs. Griffin's. It's a real local, traditional type Southern sauce," said Mrs. Griffin's BBQ Sauce Owner Roland Neel.

You can find Mrs. Griffin's BBQ sauce in most South Georgia grocery stores and restaurants.
