CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Cordele customers will soon get to shop an expanded Harvey's store.

The grocery store has been shut down for the past five days for remodeling.

It will re-open along with other Harvey's across south Georgia on Friday at 7 am. The store was one of several across the state that were bought out by BI-LO Holdings.

The store will offer a thousand more items than before.

"The community, the involvement that we've had from the community, my customers. What they've been asking for the last 7 years we've got," said Brad Westenfeld.

Harvey's has been in Cordele since 1969.

The store will now offer a Senior Citizens discount for customers 60 or older.
