An East Albany convenience store owner agrees with the owner of Maryland Fried Chicken; it's time to stop business burglars.
Surveillance video from the Milan Food Mart in the 1500 block of Clark Avenue showed two men smash a window with a sledge hammer about 5:00AM.
They then rifled through cash registers, grabbed cigarettes and dug around for cash. The burglar alarm sounded the whole time they were inside the store.
The store owner's family said these crimes are hurting the economy in Albany. "All small business have a problem. South Slappey," said Vinod Patel, the Owner's relative.
The owners say they have been broken into on average about every six months.
If you recognize these smash and grab burglars, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS. You could earn a reward.
