Albany duplex fire ruled an arson

Firefighters say a blaze that destroyed a South Albany duplex Wednesday morning was definitely arson.

The home in the 700 block of West Highland Avenue went up in flames about 1 A.M.      The front door of the B side of the duplex had been forced open.

Arson investigators say a woman was preparing to move in, but no one was living there at the time.  They're trying to figure out who set the fire.

Investigator Sam Harris said "The meter was red tagged.  We met with the occupant.  We're following up some leads. There was a fire set in the living room of the duplex.  And it is an intentionally set fire."
