ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A big upset in the Dougherty County Commission District 6 seat. Incumbent Jack Stone lost to Anthony Jones, who had 64 percent of the vote.

Jones celebrated his victory with his supporters. Jones says he is ready to get to work and make some changes in his community.

"It's a wonderful feeling to win, but it hadn't been won yet. The work is just beginning. I talked to all the constituents out in District 6 and I promised them that I'm ready to listen, learn and lead," said Anthony Jones.

Jack Stone, who was recently named county Vice Chair, held the seat since 1987.

Anthony Jones will take office in January.
