Sherwood's upper campus will soon expand

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County Commission approved Sherwood's expansion plans at its upper campus on Old Pretoria Road.

It will include new classrooms, a new media center and a larger cafeteria to accommodate 230 students who will move there from the lower campus.

"This is going to be a great improvement to the school, bringing all the faculty and students together. Where you get older students helping younger students, but also its going to update our facilities and opportunities for instructional programs," said Glen Schultz, Headmaster.

Everything is expected to ready for the 2015-16 school year.
