Albany man found guilty of simple battery

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man, Charged with stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her mother with a kitchen knife, was found guilty Tuesday of only simple battery count.

 24-year old Rondelrick Huckaby was acquitted on all other counts.  

 He was sentenced to one year in jail and given credit for the time he has already served.

    Former Dougherty District Attorney and Albany native Ken Hodges received the endorsement of a number of South Georgia law enforcement officials Monday. Hodges is running for the non partisan court of appeals seat in Tuesday's election.
