LAKELAND, GA (WALB) -

The death of a missing Remerton man is now being ruled a homicide.

Kieth Ervin's body was found in Lanier County on February 7th. The GBI has completed the autopsy and has determined that, based on wounds found on the body, the death was a homicide. Investigators would not specify what type of wounds were found or whether they think Ervin was killed in Lanier County or somewhere else.

The Lanier County Sheriff's Office is talking to several persons of interest, but so far have not identified a suspect.

WALB reached out to Lanier County Sheriff Nick Norton, Lanier County Sheriff's Office Investigators, and the Remerton Police Department but they were not available for interviews.
