Lee murderer's execution stay overturned

Posted: Updated:

Warren Lee Hill, who murdered an inmate at the Lee State Prison, is again subject to execution by the state. The State Supreme Court over turned a Fulton Co. court ruling.

Hill got a stay by arguing that the state should reveal who supplies its lethal injection drugs, and that they should be tested.

Hill was serving a life sentence for murdering his 18 year old girl friend by shooting her 11 times. He beat Joseph  Handspike to death with a nail studded board in 1990 and was sentenced to death the next year.

He has been on death row for 23 years.
