Discovery Days at the Flint Riverquarium

Some young people enjoyed Discovery Days at the Flint Riverquarium.

This weekend's theme is endangered species. Kids got to play games and paint their faces.

Organizers say this is a great way for kids to learn, plus have some fun.

They host the event every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.

"Basically have fun but also learn. We are all about the learning experience. About progressing as far as nature concerned and basically informing the public about endangered species or whatever we are talking about that day," says Environmental Educator Asia Cook.

The Flint Riverquarium is home to more than 120 creatures including alligators, turtles and fish.
