Downtown mural competition

Some South Georgia artists were downtown competing in a mural competition at the Albany Art Park on Saturday.

They competed for cash prizes of up to 300 dollars.

Volunteers say the Art Park is a good outlet for people to express their work.

"That's what this place is all about, is community participation. It gives everyone a place to come and express themselves, and communicate," says volunteer Cameron Malphrus.

Volunteers say they plan to hold another competition in September.
