ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Hundreds of Cyclists made their way to Albany for the second Southeast Regional Series.

More than 400 cyclists of all ages competed in eleven different races in downtown Albany.   Spectators lined the streets to cheer on the competitors. The winners took home as much as $2000 in cash and other prizes. Participants say they enjoyed competing in the event.

"Just competitiveness, you can ride a bike for health reasons but the actual race, you have to have a competitive edge and that's why I enjoy coming out and competing against others," said Kareem Maddox.

The Southeast Regional Series is set of five races that will take place over the next five months in five states.  The next stop is in Huntsville, Alabama on June 14th.
