TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

It's time for bike enthusiasts in Tifton to get out their wheels.

Saturday, May 17, the Tift County Recreation Department and the Tift Area Greenway Association will hold their annual Bike Rodeo on at the recreation department on Victory Drive. This year the rodeo will go along with a Health Fair called "Pump up the Volume. The Bike Rodeo is free for everyone. Skill Areas include circle riding, braking, maneuvering, balancing and steering.

There will be a presentation on bike safety.

"Our plan is to teach some bike handling skills as well as a general safety check of the bike prior to doing the bike rodeo," said Sharon Petzel.

Helmets will also be passed out to those who don't have them. The rodeo starts at 9:15 a.m. The health event is from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
