ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Professional bike racers from all over the country are rolling into Albany tonight for weekend races.

More than 460 racers will cycle through downtown for the Albany Unchained: 2014 Southeast Regional Series. Racers in various age categories will compete in 11 races. Organizers say one of last year's racers blogged about his experience and had great things to say about Albany.

"He talked about how much he enjoyed the town, how beautiful downtown was, that he wanted to come back this year and bring his family so they can see the RiverQuarium and the Turtle Park. It was a great advertisement for Albany," said Chip Battle, Pecan City Pedalers Vice President.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. in front of the courthouse on Pine Avenue. The Southeast Regional Series is held over 5 months in 5 states.
