New York Road remains closed

Officials have temporarily closed New York Road in Lee Co., due to localized flooding.

It is expected to remain closed through the weekend, and people who try to drive through there could be ticketed.

The County says the road is closed due to flooding from the intersections of Middle Road to North Philema Road.

Lee County Public Works employees are engaged in pumping actions to remove storm water from this area.

Barricades have been erected. The road will remain closed until further notice.
