ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

There's only a few more days left to cast your ballot for early voting.

The Dougherty County Board of Elections says the turnout for early voters has been extremely low for primaries.

Just over seven-hundred people have voted early in Dougherty County with the early voting ending on Friday.  Friday is also the last day to receive a ballot in the mail.

"A federal judges ruling moved the election up for federal elections. So Georgia stepped up  and moved up the local races to coincide with the federal races. So I think everyone is a little surprised and thrown off this election is in May when its usually in July," said  Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson.

You can vote from 8:30 to 5 pm at the Elections office at 222 Pine Avenue.
