ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State students celebrated an important milestone today.

More than 300 graduates crossed the stage to receive their degrees at the Civic Center. Several graduates say they already have jobs or plan to pursue another degree.

"I started out as a business management and accounting major and half way through that I changed my major to middle grades education. I went to visit my brother's school one day and decided that teaching is really where my heart is. I really wanted to give back," said ASU graduate Roderick Hubbard.

"I definitely plan on making my mark out here in the world in the industry of Mass Media," said ASU graduate Niema Graham.

Two-time Emmy nominated Judge Glenda Hatchett was the commencement speaker. She talked about overcoming obstacles and accomplishing goals.
