Shooting suspect finally caught

TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

After a month-long search, a man wanted for a shooting in Tifton is off the streets.

Demario Carridine is accused of shooting at a truck with two people inside on March 28 on Elm Street. Police took out warrants for his arrest on April 1st. They finally tracked him down in Lowndes County Wednesday.

"He is charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault in reference to the shooing on Elm Street," said Detective Ferron Yi. "He shot at a white pickup truck with two victims inside. Also he's charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon and criminal damage to property second degree."

The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Secret Service assisted in the arrest. No one was injured in the shooting.
