TN Valley tornado count rises to 12

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Huntsville-area office of the National Weather Service confirmed three more tornado tracks from the April 28 storm system, bringing the total number of tornadoes in the Tennessee Valley to 12.

The NWS tweeted Thursday that their study of storm damage and paths confirms an EF-0 tornado near Aroney, an EF-1 near Mentone, and an EF-2 near Dawson Ridge in DeKalb County.

In addition, the path of the Pine Ridge tornado that had been confirmed Tuesday has been extended, according to the NWS tweet.
