"Somebody did something to my car, said Reginald Graddic.

Nothing is left but a frame to Reginald Graddic's 2001 Cadillac Deville. A neighbor saw the car on fire around 4 a.m. Thursday and called police.

"He just woke up and came out the door and seen my car on fire, inside the car and I never had a problem parking my car here before," said Reginald Graddic.

Graddic lives next door to where he parks his car. The owner of the vacant home allows Graddic to park his car at the homeowner.

As a result of the car fire, the flames spread to the home and completely damaged the property.

Ashburn Police say they are trying to determine if this fire is related to another car fire in late March and another earlier this week.

"We believe it was part in retaliation to an incident that occurred Tuesday night. We had some of the local gang members involved in a street fight," said Chief Joe Saxon, Ashburn.

Graddic's teen son was involved in that fight.

"I need to find out what's going on because they jumped on my son Tuesday and something needs to be done," said Reginald Graddic.

The car and the home is a total loss. Ashburn police don't think it was a random car fire.

"I believe the vehicle was targeted because of who the vehicle owner was," said Chief Saxon.

"I paid good money for that car. It's a Cadillac. It doesn't even look like it anymore, That's my money going down the drain" said Reginald Graddic.

Ashburn Police say they will pursue this case until arrests are made. Police say anyone providing information does not have to give their name.
