Mother of slain Albany man wants justice

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Robin Williams, the mother of 23-year old Jeffrey Nunley, who was shot outside of his home Monday night wants justice. The suspect in the shooting death has yet to be identified.

"No words can tell you how we feel," Williams said. "It's terrible, that's my son.  I need to know why, what happened and to make sure it doesn't happen to another parent. I mean, nobody should have to go through this, nobody."

Community activist Willie Ross is asking the entire Albany community to gather Litman Cathedral Church near the murder scene on Friday at 7 for service to speak against violence.

"Because a young man lost his life for no reason," Ross said.

Williams hopes the service will help prevent another family from dealing with a tragedy like the one she is enduring.

"It just needs to stop, it's sad that your kids can't even be in their own yard without being shot," Williams said.

Air Quality Services, Nunley's employer before he passed is offering a 1-thousand dollar reward for information that helps police catch the killer.
