Artists look for creative studio space

Albany area artists are working together to create a new studio space.

They met tonight to talk about turning an empty 11,000 square foot building near the Art Park into a Creative Co-Op. Downtown Manager Aaron Blair says it's a great opportunity, but it won't come together if there isn't enough interest.

"With our new pre-development agreement that we signed a couple of weeks ago with Shandon, the opportunity presented to us to look at this particular building to see if it works, to see if there's enough interest to fill this space," said Downtown Manager Aaron Blair.

Blair says spaces would vary from 70-square feet to a couple of hundred square feet. You can join the Co-Op by contacting Aaron Blair at 229-438-3999.
