Child death investigated

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County child death investigation team is looking into the suspicious death of a 10-year old East Albany boy.

Family members tell us Brandon Price became ill Saturday afternoon at his home on Madeline Road, and they took him to the hospital.

Investigators say there were several other children and adults in the home at the time, but no one else was affected.

Prosecutors say they aren't sure what caused the boy's death, so they started the investigation.

"The child presented to the hospital dead on arrival.  So indicating that death had occurred before the child was actually brought to the hospital," said Greg Edwards Dougherty D. A.

Investigators are waiting for results of an autopsy that was performed Monday.
