Stallions' relying on inexperience in conference tourney

For the first time since 2009, the ABAC Stallions are in the GCAA Tournament.

First year head coach Robert Morgan led his team to the #5 seed in this year's tournament.

Morgan and the Stallions will admit no one on this team has any GCAA Tourney experience, but they're not going to call that a negative.

In fact, they believe it can be a positive.

"Because the guys really want it a lot," Morgan says on inexperience being a good thing. "They're working hard every day to get after it and to be the best team they can possibly be."

"I think it's going to be a good thing for our team," says sophomore outfielder Lane Dixon. "I think everybody's excited and ready to give it all we got."

The Stallions will open tournament play Wednesday at noon. They'll take on number four seed Gordon State. The GCAA Tournament staying in south Georgia this season at Darton State.
