VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta's popular Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series is back, and organizers are looking forward to big crowds.

Each day this week from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a local band will play live music at the courthouse in downtown Valdosta.

Monday's concert featured a mixture of top 40 songs, oldies rock, blues, and country music by the band Double Shot. The Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series has been put on by Valdosta Mainstreet for the past 20 years in honor of national historic preservation week.

"It's just a gift back to the community to remind them that we're down here, we're downtown, downtown is vibrant, downtown is vibrant and fun," said Ellen Hill, Program Coordinator for Valdosta Mainstreet.

Not only will visitors be treated to live music, but the various restaurants in downtown Valdosta will be serving food throughout the concert series.

"Our downtown restaurants come out and they will sell you lunches," explained Hill. "You can, obviously, bring your own lunch but we would like for you to come downtown and try our restaurants."

Here is the concert schedule:

May 5 – Double Shot
May 6 – Backstreet Blazers
May 7 – West Virginia Slims
May 8 – Sundance Jenkins
May 9 – Jukebox
