ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Nine active duty marines are back home with their families after serving more than 200 days overseas.

At the base, families were ready and waiting to greet their loved ones. They gave each other lots of hugs and kisses, after not seeing each other for eight months.

The group is attached to various centers across the Marine Corps Logistics Command. They were recently stationed in Afghanistan.

"It was a good time, we all worked hard together every day. I'm still here to support those guys who replaced us out there in Afghanistan, but like I said I'm just happy to be home," says Brice McMinn with the United States Marine Corps.

He says he looks forward to spending time with family.
